Valeska Bravo, MCouns, BPsyStÂ
I am a counsellor with a background in clinical counselling and psychology, supporting adults through a range of emotional and life challenges.

I know that opening up to someone you don’t know can feel uncomfortable, so I aim to provide a compassionate and non-judgemental space where you can feel heard, understood and supported. My style is warm, genuine and down-to-earth, while my work is grounded in respect, integrity and professional care.

I believe that a strong therapeutic relationship is an important foundation for meaningful change, and I take the time to understand your experiences, strengths and goals.

My approach is integrative and person-centred, incorporating trauma-informed principles and drawing on evidence-informed practices. Where appropriate, I integrate principles and strategies informed by Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and strengths-based approaches.

This allows me to tailor counselling to your individual needs and goals, while supporting greater self-awareness, emotional regulation, coping and resilience. I prioritise safety, trust, choice and respect, supporting you to explore your experiences at a pace that feels right for you.
